Newton's 'Sumo' sale It's official - Helmut Newton's 'Sumo' is the most expensive book published in the 20th century. Last week, at an auction in aid of the Mentor Foundation (a charity dedicated to fighting drug dependency) a copy of 'Sumo' signed by 200 celebs sold for $304,000. Only 10,000 copies will ever be available and when the book launched last December, stars including Brad Pitt and Kate Moss ordered copies. Then the uncrowned king of couture Karl Lagerfeld bought 10. There are still a few copies available priced £1000.
