Decadent designIf utility chic and minimalism is not your thing and you love all things decadent and romantic, then visit the Victoria and Albert museum. From now until 30th July the V&A is exhibiting some of the finest examples of Art Nouveau including Lalique jewellery, Klimt paintings and Mackintosh furniture. Art Nouveau was the first art movement that became a 'lifestyle' and its influence can be seen in the exhibition on everything from biscuit tins to pornography. Admission is £7.50 (£2.50 concessions) and includes entry to the V&A's other collections - but on Wednesdays in May there is a special offer price of £2.50 for all. Visit the V&A website to find out more. |
