Artist Brian Ayling, on the other hand, prefers to paint items of clothing - from the mundane to the magnificent - using oils on canvas. Brian's previous satorial subjects have included babygrows, leather jackets, T-shirts and favourite football shirts. He's also been commissioned to paint still-lifes of expensive shopping bags, beaded vests and rails of coats for the Mezzo restaurant and fashion boutiques. But it's the everyday items of clothing, devoid of a body wearing them, that are Brian's most eerie and fascinating work. The paintings cost between £750 to £2000 depending on size and detail.
