Sonic Boom boom An aural feast is being laid on at the Hayward Gallery from 27 April. 'Sonic Boom: The Art of Sound' features installations, creating sensory experiences and offering a soundscape for the imagination. A staircase with foot sensitive pads makes sounds when stepped on and a 'forest of cables' will enable you to create your own version of what paradise sounds like, from pre-recorded tropical noises. Then you can hop on the bicycle driven record player. Better stand back from Project Dark's installation - a combo of old record player, 10,000 volt spark generator and pyrotechnics.
