Positive imagesPhotography is arguably the most important art medium of the past 100 years. Without it we wouldn't have today's ever-changing fashion and the cult of celebrity - and we certainly wouldn't have 'Hello'. An exhibition of the 20th century's top photographers celebrates their images of iconic figures, whilst raising money for Fairbridge, a charity for inner city youth. 'A Positive View 2' at The Chimney, Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London includes images of and by fashion's leading lights past and present. Look out for photos of Gianni Versace and Kate Moss, and work by Testino and Rankin. There are also photos of iconic figures including Marilyn Monroe and Jimi Hendrix. 'A Postive View 2' runs from 13th to 17th April, admission is £5. Visit the website for more info. |
