Meanwhile, take a trip to the Fashion Institute of Technology for a virtual tour of their 'Corset: Fashioning the Body' exhibition, covering corsets from the 15th century to the present day. Whether true or false, it's been blamed for slicing livers in half, tuberculosis and female oppression amongst other crimes, but it's still a fav with designers.
