Kangol coutureFor 50 years Kangol has been covering the heads of the coolest folk around including The Beatles, numerous rappers and Samuel L Jackson. Now the British company feel it's time for an overhaul. New ad campaigns shot by photographer Kai Wiechmann, reflect Kangol's new separate collections. 'Solo' and 'Casual' are sporty lines, 'Blue Collar' is workwear-inspired, 'White Collar' is high street casual and 'Kangol Britain' is designed by a different Brit designer each season. This season is the turn of politically controversial designer Katharine Hamnett, who has taken multi-cultural Britain as her inspiration. Hot Caribbean and Asian colours mix with traditional British navy and rural green in Hamnett's interpretation of Kangol classic headwear. Hamnett aimed for "a wilder, funkier twist." Bella Freud will be designing the range for this winter. For stockists call:0207 4874888 or visit Kangol's website. |
