The New Knitting exhibition, as opposed to the Old Knitting of granny in her rocker making socks, features exhilarating examples of how exciting wool can be. Knitting has a reputation of being a poor relation to other types of fashion, but over the last few years a number of designers have challenged this - Julien MacDonald, Vivienne Westwood and Issey Miyake, to name but three. This exhibition celebrates the creativity that's bubbling away in knitwear land - highlights include Marcia Windebank's resin coated knitted bowls, Julien MacDonald's nylon handknitted dress dripping with crystals and Rebecca Earley's photoprinted scarves.
