The rubberised shoes came about when streetwear designer Michiko Koshino wanted to feature some funky footwear in her spring/summer 2000 collection. Inflate's Nick Crosby says: "We would look to hook-up with a shoe company to produce these. In principle, we could make a whole range of moulded clothes as well."
