Cars and clothes collideIt seems designer Robert Cary Williams may have an obsession with cars. His current autumn/winter 99 collection is based on a 'Victorian Car-Crash' theme, using car-seat stuffing and upholstery for the main part of the collection. Now he's continuing the automobile association within Daewoo's stylish car calendar 2000. The month-by-month pin-up includes 12 specially created images by leading UK artists and designers such as Tristan Webber, Dai Rees and Agent Provocateur. The calendar is on sale in Debenhams department stores (£5), with £1 from each sale going to the Gilda's Club cancer charity. Mr Williams makes his worthy donation on the January page. |
