| For winter, Lara has re-visited some past designs, which she'd previously made in silver three seasons ago. As the designs were quite classical she decided to re-introduce them in gold. Using a more classic material complements Lara's intention to concentrate on developing 'luxury goods' - the newly introduced range of handbags this winter is the first step. Even though they're made in gold, the new 'DIY' pieces are still very 'modern'. Inspired by 60s 'thread and nail paintings', the rubber threads decorating them can be restrung to suit the wearer. A little bit of luxury here will start at £45, although one of the 'barrel' bags costs £500. |

| As well as making jewellery from gold, silver, rubber and leather Lara uses some unusual materials - and if she comes across something new, it's a race to use it. In the past, fibres more at home on fishing flies have been crimped, dyed pink and yellow and strung onto silver earings. New this winter is 'velbex' laser cut into moody and spiky flower bracelets, a black industrial perspex-like vinyl that's soft and extremely shiny. "I still get excited about designing new collections. And I design very easily and very fast. I always have to hold things back for the next season." Needless to say that Lara will never run out of ideas. |
