Stacey had a year's work placement at the Knit Resource Centre, in New York "which was fantastic, I'd go back if the right offer came along." She made catwalk clothes for designers including Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger: "I'd interpret designs that were brought to me. I also worked one day a week for Betsey Johnson as an intern, who is very flamboyant and energetic." Stacey's graduate collection is a knitwear collection which she describes as "eclectic British dressing... eccentric, traditional, lighthearted, giggly, fun". And lighthearted it is with candy striped dresses, asymmetric hemmed skirts, sweaters embroidered with sequins as well as more delicate knits.

Stacey wants some exposure from Graduate Fashion Week and prepared for her catwalk show by presenting her collection in a Nottingham nightclub - it received a good response from local press. Ideally, Stacey would like to set up as a freelance design consultant or become an "inspirational knitter, if there is such a thing".
