Ellen Brookes, 22 BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Business Studies Brighton University

The youngest on her course, Ellen has already completed stints at Copperwheat Blundell - a suede and fur coat she made from scratch for their A/W 2000 collection was shown at LFW - as well as assisting the womenswear design team at Marks & Spencer. M&S is helping to fund her final year collection, Beauty and Abnormality, inspired by Siamese twins. A mix of black, bright orange and fleshy tones, the sculpted dresses, waterfall tops and flared skirts, will be styled by Ellen with flat rounded shoes and little socks.
Ellen is waiting to hear from Abercrombie & Fitch to find out if some denim casual wear designs have been accepted after reps from the US-based company visited her college scouting for future employees. From Graduate Fashion Week, Ellen is hoping for a good response and possible work, "I'll take anything but ideally would like to illustrate for a mag."
