Limehaus

Nottingham based designer Nick Holland, launched Limehaus four years ago, although his roots within the clothing industry stem back to his days as a tailor for the prestigious family business S.Corman (suppliers to some of the UK's leading retailers). A strong but understated player within menswear, Limehaus is destined for international acclaim, particularly if the latest collection, 'Project a' is anything to go by. Smooth lines, soft silhouettes and luxurious fabrics are the staples of this intelligent and wearable collection. Quality outfits, flowed consistently down the catwalk to the dark rhythmical sounds of 'Radium Limehaus' - an original compostition that perfectly parallels the essence of the collection. A-line wing-collared jackets feature in a variety of lengths and trousers are comfortably wide with drawstrings or finely tapered for more formal wear. Detailing provides a twist, with misplaced one-pocket trousers, cashmere lined raw seams, covered fastenings and mandarin collars set-off by embroidered cravets and scarves. The colour palette is dominated by dark shades: semi-black, carbon, pewter and moss, although decadent claret and pastels appear as stimulating highlights. Fabrics are traditional, but re-invented wool, gaberdines, flannels and pinstripes in quilted or bonded forms refresh the look.
