Model turned designer Elo, is expert showman. Previous collections have featured luxury yachts, cars and a host of celebrities. 'Zero Seven Three', his first ready-to-wear collection, follows in this dramatic style. The catwalk came complete with leaves, ice sculptures, snow, smoke, penguins and a guest appearence from Jazzy B. The clothes, strong enough in their theme not to be overpowered by the show, are separated into three stories: separates, suits (modelled by older men) and a tailored army/combat combination. Combat slacks, funnel neck jumpers with matching scarves and hats, straight leg and high-waisted trousers are the predominant themes. Tight fitting pinstripe suits are worn with pastel shirts in pink and blue and are finished off with cravats or wide ties. Shirts are slightly different with long tail backs or grandad collars. The fabrics are understated, using simple knits, jersey cotton and moleskins. Colours range from neutral creams and beige to khaki, navy, grey and black. All this combines to present a very down-to-earth collection that men of all ages can wear.
