Flynow*Chamnan

The Flynow collections by Thai designer Chamnan are invariably well received at Fashion Week. For spring/summer 99 he focuses on light, graceful clothes which fuse Western and Eastern influences. A sporty look dominates with drawstring hooded tops, skirts and 3/4 length trousers. Pencil skirts are worn with sleeveless and plain black 3/4 length sleeve tops. The main colours are black and white broken by touches of yellow, grey and sky blue. In contrast with the simplicity of the collection, the show's styling was dramatic - models sported black balloons on their heads and some of their faces were covered by stockings! Chamnan reinterprets his heel-less shoe from last season, but this time transforming them into strappy summer mules.
