Entitled 'The Princess Of Primrose Hill', Flynow by Chamnan's show was the climax of Fashion Week's first day. Focusing on a rebel chic look, the collection combined street culture with raw sexiness. Models walked around the audience, gliding on what looked like broken glass and scattered leaves. Chamnan's trademark quirky detailing meant that even the most simple garments were individual, intricate works. While the silhoutte remained long and lean, shapes were experimental with plunging necklines (especially in the transparent tops) and some garments long at the back and short at the front. Pinstripes appeared alongside stretch fabric tops and denim skirts with inverted pleats. Tops with underarm slits and bands of leather worn both across the waist and the bust add an anarchic post-Punk element. As always, Chamnan's accessories are key with feather hair pieces by Conti (for both men and women) giving the collection an ethnic slant which, combined with the 50s Rockabilly look, created a stunning spectacle. Footwear designers Nuch deserve special mention for while the women tip-toed along on spacy, black, heel-less platforms, the guys cruised comfortably in flip flops!
