Johann Bester Johann Bester was brought up in Namibia and studied at the London College of Fashion. He has made London both his home and the base for his designer label which has been trading for two years. Bester has a sizable Japanese following and has developed a reputation for his laser-cutting and panelling techniques. Fans won't be disappointed with next summer's collection - Bester's tailoring is shown to full effect. Everything has been manufactured in the UK which isn't great for costs but the overall quality and finishing is excellent. There are some great pieces here: an embroidered summer coat, a full-on bomber jacket, a floaty long, red and white print dress with suede straps and dramatic details, cigarette pants with drainpipe bottoms gathered, and a pink printed raincoat. The collection tells a consistent story - individual clothes, crafted details, fantastic fabrics and flashes of fashion inspiration. |
