Luella's show was set in a tiny venue in West London and left dozens of disappointed people clutching tickets outside. Although not a trained designer, Luella's previous collections ('Daddy Who Were The Clash?' and 'I Want a Pony') have established her label as the epitome of young, rich girl chic and the must-have choice of the Brompton Cross elite. For spring Luella offers a powerful look with lots of clever details. Jackets are boxy, square-shouldered affairs and appeared on the catwalk with slinky bikini bottoms. Busy bright prints provide a contrast to classic black pieces, stark whites and gentle lilac and candy pink. Styling details include footless tights, clutch bags, flat shoes and low-slung belts. The look is an absinthe-hazed fusion of 70s Bianca Jagger and 80s Joan Collins.
