Guvinda's vision of spring/summer 2001 is frolicksome and sexy. Much of the collection centres around schoolgirl chic with pleated skirts, short scalloped jackets, gingham shirts and ankle socks (made from tights) worn with spiky heels. Trousers include gorgeous ultra baggy slouch pants with double-layered fabric on the legs. Plunging necklines are a strong feature of the collection - some go as low as the waist. There are playsuits, tight jackets and blouses with meshed backs and red embroidered designs. Ragged sleeves, pleated sleeves and ruching appear throughout. Colours range from candy pinks and blues through to bold reds. Cotton is used in many pieces contrasting with red satin pieces with a sexy Parisian feel.
