Robert Cary-Williams

Since his debut last season with the 'Victorian Carcrash' collection, Robert Cary-Williams has picked up a New Generation sponsorship award from Marks & Spencer. This commercial alliance has not only placed him on the offical LFW schedule but has also enabled Williams to refine his signature de-construction concept, yet not curb his creativity. Now slicker and sharper,'Pardon' teased the attentive audience, with the transparent tops, side slashed leather tunics, suits and backless dresses. The reincarnation of basic garments with battery attatchment arm bands, breast-plates and mirrored panels added further impact and intrigue. The appearance of supermodels, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss on the catwalk, charged the atmosphere and has no doubt sealed the success of this new fashion favourite.
