Matthew Williamson

'Exotikarma' burst onto Williamson's stage amidst a celebrity-studded audience including Yasmin and Simon Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Jade and Bianca Jagger as well as some of the fashion industry's finest journalists. The packed audience surrounding an overtly theatrical and elaborate tree-lined catwalk, anticipated the start of a fantastical show. And they weren't disappointed, as the stars twinkled both on and off the catwalk. Modelling were 'supers' Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Erin O'Connor and Jodie Kidd who all looked stunning in the vibrant pink, purple and orange dominated designs. Indian wraps, mexican rug-wraps and American Indian inspired suede fringing featured along side masses of feather braiding, gold coin trims and delicate flower embroidery. Femininity reigned, even amongst the orange poncho style tunic and white rough-edged jeans as worn by Erin. The executed rawness of the collection refreshed the well-loved but recogniseable Williamson style of trailing florals, whilst the subdued plum-coloured pieces added to the heady mood of Williamson's 'oriental express'.
