Zambesi has been established since 1979 by partners Elisabeth and Neville Findlay. Already an internationally accredited label, it has only just arrived in the UK (stocked in Liberty). The silhouette is important for autumn/winter 99, and appears as spherical shapes that disguise or expose the body. Wacky wide net stiff skirts, embellished stitching and floral prints add further texture. The colours are muted in tonal browns and the fabrics are diverse. Sleeveless wrap tops and wide leg trousers add a wearable touch.
