'Escape Artiste' is the autumn/winter 99 collection by Karen Walker. Big boots, high necklines, tough durable fabrics and leather cuffs, add a masculine/edgy style to some essentially feminie items: suede swing skirts, long pinafore dresses and draped tunics. The colour palette contains rich browns and black; cream provides a contrast. With a star following that includes Madonna and Lenny Kravitz, Walker is already on her way up.
