Despite many of this years designers opting to show off-site, Clements Ribeiro stuck to formula and showed a luxurious and beautiful collection in the tents. 'Orlando' claims to be "a dialogue between the severe and the opulent" which basically means that the emphasis here is on contrasts and juxtapositioning. The main influence is Elizabethan with elements of strong masculine tailoring set against rich prints, embroidery, wild colours and sheepskins. The collection explores the ambiguity of masculine and feminine sides on the same self. Tartans featured largely, gathered over one side of the shoulder and belted at the waist. Skirts and dresses in strips of fabric presented a medieval twist.
