| Owen Gaster is a rising star on the British design scene. His autumn/winter collection is bound to win him more fans and orders with its exciting combinations of fabric and cut. The stage was sprinkled with black sequins, creating a curvy runway for the models to walk. Gaster seems to follow no-one's lead, preferring instead to create bold collections which use powerful shades and futuristic fabrics. His models wore white pan stick, triangular crimped wigs and periwinkle boots. The accessories were a major feature - sovereign gold rings appeared alongside silver arm bands and chokers. Metallic colours mingled with PVC heat-reactive fabrics. His Godet dress fuses a simple column with pink pleats under the bust. Apron skirts were worn over pyjama style pants and scarves and shawls influences created a variety of necklines for tops and dresses. The colours ranged from uncompromising cerise pink to aqua prints for the shirts and gold paisley-style prints in jackets and dresses. The A-line skirt was reinterpreted with symmetrical front and back. |
