Tracey Boyd is a rock'n'roller. 'The Girl Really Can't Help It' is unashamedly, brash, bold and in your face. The opening scene of the show was three models with big bed-weary hair, mini skirts and feather jackets in kaleidoscopic colours and flat heeled gold boots. Wow. The Sweet's Blockbuster is followed by something that sounds like Bauhaus and she's bringing on the tweed, only it's red and worked into frock coats and flared dresses and combined with pink tops and pink leather gloves. Pink knits emblazoned with B are worn with red, chiffon Ra Ra skirts and there are deep green Ra Ra skirts coupled with lime green skinny knits. Equally dramatic is a sleeveless 50s style dress in leather with 'heavenly' embroidered in green large letters across the front (other pieces have 'hellraiser' emblazoned on). Tracey's fans will not be disappointed with this punchy collection - she's a designer who isn't afraid to play around with fabric combinations (mixing silk with corduroy for example).
