This is Bora's second showing on-schedule as a New Generation designer. Since graduating from Central Saint Martin's in 2002, he's produced two highly-praised collections. Winter 04 offers a vision of an urban, Mongloian goddess and mixes leather with floaty chiffon, jersey and oversized knits. There are loose leather jackets with slouchy knitted scarves, creamy knitted mini ponchos worn with a wide tan leather belt (with saddle-style details) and a puffball sleeve blouse. Bora's goddess/warrior is equipped with the perfect footwear: customised canvas Converse boots - which look incredible with these clothes - and woollen court shoes and boots, along with antique leather knee-length boots with wool panels. There are flashes of emerald and the floaty chiffon dresses and blouses, but the pallete is mostly cream, white, tan and brown. Some pieces mix leather straps and neck cuff elements with jersey and there is a beautiful dress with a chunky wool top connected to jersey straps. Bora is bang on form.
