PPQ started life as a loose fashion/music/arts collective. It's responsible for the legendary Happiness Stan's club night, numerous art projects including collaborations with Sam Taylor Wood and Gary Hume, a recording studio and record label as well as PPQ clothing which launched for spring/summer 2000. For the latest collection, Percy Park and Amy Molyneaux have fused together medieval fairy tale influences with outer space in a Paco Rabanne vein. Tabards, tunics, hipster trousers and roll neck dresses and hooded swing tops are in uncompromising shades including mustard, deep red, muddy brown and canary yellow. The garments are accessorised with footless lace tights, opaque tights in shades that echo the fabric colours, high heels, flat boots and oversized bags. Hair was pulled off the face, wrapped around with braids. The make-up was Bladerunner/Adam Ant inspired with thick blocks of black kohl drawn across the eye area. |
