The mainline collection sees a departure from Koshino's signature quirky East meets West streetwear, instead she has created a series of outfits which exude elegance and offer a contemporary take on classic Edwardianism. Long skirts, quilted coats with oversized and exaggerated button details, ruffle collars, ruching, capes and Empire line belting. Fabrics include washed wools (crocheting is particularly strong) and crisp cottons (with petticoats visible from beneath some dresses and skirts. The show's stylist, Jo Phillips, deserves full credit for her work particularly on the mainline collection where sexy bowler hats, parasols and gloves work perfectly.
