Country meets rock'n'roll in Preen's stunning collection which was so popular many ticket holders were left outside the show venue. Traditional checked shirts get a makeover with unusual sleeves, which are puffed and ruched. Meanwhile trousers and skirts in earthy neutrals are worn slouchy and low-slung. Suits with an 80s feel are given a dramatic twist with leg o'mutton sleeves and oddly placed pleats and are teamed with cowl necked tops. There are a variety of blouses, cut with a rock'n'roll edge, whilst knitwear comes in the form of patterned tank tops. The 'drop out country girl' theme is continued with khaki pieces including pants and frock coats with ruffles and ruching, transparent antique lace tops and little patchworked fur jackets. The darker side is represented by gothic-influenced black creations, including long leather coats with pinched shoulders and tops decorated with multiple chains and crosses.
