Margarete Werner's collection is a chic minimal affair inspired by "metropolitan skies" which is reflected in sleek lines, city wear tailoring and aeroplane details. Silhouettes are generally sharp and clean with draping on puff ball style dresses and skirts to soften stark lines. Although predominantly navy, brown, purple and grey the collection is also punctuated and softened by shades of turquoise, lime, ivory and pale blue. 1920s style drop waists are a recurring theme appearing on a brown herringbone tweed dress with a chunky leather belt, a shift dress with faux buckles and lime and purple wrap coats clasped shut with aeroplane brooches. To reinforce the metropolitan feel, a plane motif is printed on jackets and wide leg trousers and a long sleeve shift is printed with a city grid style graphic.
