Michiko Koshino's vibrant streetwear always provides an alternative vision during Fashion Week. Not for her are the vagaries of a clientele who lunch, lounge and live of the fat of the land. Her Eastern heritage combines with a strong Western sense of individualism and urban adventure to create brash landscapes in clothes and accessories. This season, flags are strongly featured in both menswear and womenswear and appear alongside UN style crosses and fish motifs. Ties for women feature as well as leather detailing on jackets and skirts, Shumaggs and the chunkiest of knitted scarves for men. Denim is one of Koshino's favourite fabrics and this season her jeans line is stronger than ever with a wide selection of washes, cuts and street talking styles.
