Called A Twist of Elegance, Gurvinder Singh's collection for his Guvinda label was inspired by "a new woman, international in her outlook and individual in her style". For colour this translates into sage green silks, turquoise satins, red and beige checks and tweeds shot through with glitter. Fabrics were worked into skintight minis, box pleat A-line skirts, dresses with crotch high splits and plunging necklines as well as sharply tailored jackets decorated with Swarovski crystals. Heavily smocked over-dresses with asymmetric openings at the back appear to have been inspired by children's paintings, smocks and black heavily beaded jumpers with balaclavas attached by 30s skiing outfits. For a show stopping evening entrance, Guvinda's scene stealing black and gold sequinned dress with fabric trailing from the sleeves should do the trick.
