Blaak's show as a New Generation designer was a mix of men's and women's wear in colours ranging from black, navy, darkest green and brick red with hints of yellow, pink and cream. For men, aspects of the English gent's wardrobe are re-interpreted - a blazer is made in leather, traditional Mackintoshes and coats have exaggerated round shoulders and fitted jackets, worn with wide leg trousers, have a Blaak 'crest' embroidered on the breast pocket. Womenswear includes puffy fronted blouses together with styles nodding to the 50s - pencil skirts are decorated with either trompe l'oeil bows or criss-crossed satin ribbons and prom-style skirts in wild floral prints are perfect for twirling around dance floors. Knitwear includes puff sleeved sweaters and deep V-neck tank tops for women and chequer flag jumpers and Desperate Dan stripe trousers for men.
