Scott Henshall is the winner of the first VS Sassoon Award for Cutting Edge Talent and his first Fashion Week collection is Englishness with a few quirks thrown in. His colours are distinctly countryside - browns, camel, moss greens and wheat. A favourite technique is dip dyeing wool for the clingiest of cling tube dresses (with cowl necks) and skirts, all in mud browns fading to camel. High, fold over collars on the waistband of leather skirts and flowery 'wallpaper' fabric button up dresses and embroidered performing ponies prance around on neat cardigans and vest tops. Leather is used for pencil skirts, dresses and suede trousers have hand span size belt loops for soft wool tie belts. Window pane check tailored shift dresses and suits and traditional cable knit dresses, skirts and a cape which buttons off at the shoulders complete the country lady in town for the day look.
