Mulligan's winter collection is an elegant, cocktail affair - glamorous, chic and 70s. There is a choice of halter-neck catsuits with wide flares or culottes, in mohair and the finest needlecord. Sheer cream chiffon dresses have pointed hems and floaty wings on sleeves. Plum, black, coral and heathers are other favoured colours. Miniature wheatsheaf prints, again in plum, crop up on floaty knee-length dresses and in larger, padded form at the hems of circular mohair skirts. Knee-length dresses have shawls attached which are swept over one shoulder. Slate or black trousers are box pleated, sawn off at the knee or skim the floor, worn with square military-style bomber jackets. Coat dresses and jackets are loosely gathered at the waist with D-ring belts. On the quirky side, there are dresses and tops of pleats that twist around the body, with ragged edges. For him there are fine brown needlecord three-button single breasted suits, crombie style coats with sashes or detachable capes over zip up coats.
