Copperwheat Blundell revisit the 70s for a Studio 54 glam collection which features Halston influenced silk jersey fabrics. Dresses hugged the body yet draped and flowed in all the right places - feminine and sexy details included batwings or fluttering cascading capped shoulders. Four colours dominate the collection - black, grey, purple and white. The show kicked off with black leathers and fur panelled jackets, tight in silhouette and belted for extra slimness. Models sported huge Afro hair and sheer chiffon blouses with diamante back details or frilled criss- cross front tops and tight pencil skirts just below the knee and just the right side of tarty. The men wore gangsta style tailoring or urban slick outerwear in greys or black with purple highlights. While the womenswear is glamorous, the menswear is macho in a chaperone kind of way - this is the back to glamour age when a girl needs a guy to escort her out and this collection certainly reflects a sophisticated approach to modern day dressing.
