Boyd's collection hit the catwalk via the 40s before grooving to a halt in the 70s wearing glittery herringbone tweed flares. Joan Crawford-esque boxy-shouldered swing back jackets are worn with 70s-style cullottes or diagonally cut skirts - all jumbo cord. Colours like pinks, oranges, pearl, plum, moss green, red and American tan feature heavily, not forgetting black. A glitter-brushed fake fur coat is stiff with embroidery at the hem. Halter-neck waistcoats in stretch and shimmer fabrics of bronze and blues, match figure hugging flares (70s Parisienne discoteque) and vie for attention against heavy, knitted stretchy skirts and V-neck tops in peaches, lilacs and pinks all smothered in sequins (pub land-lady chic). Batwing sleeve jumpers all have the widest welts, emphasising waists and velvet separates are vibrantly brush-stroke printed. Furiously scribbled felt-pen prints adorn long sleeve T's and tight skirts. Returning home, disco queens become 40s sirens in a black satin floor dusting house coat with diamante belt.
