| At the Michiko Koshino shows, eyes were the focal point of the face. A graphic red line was applied between the eye and eyebrow whilst lips and under eyes were stained with bruise-coloured cream pigment at Koshino, influenced by traditional Japanese make-up.
Amidst the chaos in the cramped and sweltering backstage area in one of the BFC tents outside the Natural History Museum, the make-up artists created a complicated, theatrical look that wouldn't have looked out of place in the museum itself.
