Anthony Symonds' latest collection could induce flashbacks to Flashdance, but the designer has succeeded in adding plenty of sluttish sex appeal to the trash glamour look pioneered in the 80s. Cheap tones of gold and red are clashed with bruised purple and jet black whilst the loudest patterns, normally reserved for bargain bins, feature heavily. Key pieces of the collection include knee-length blanket skirts, shoulderless angora tops, slashed blouses, sparkling halternecks and dresses decorated with felt flowers. Leopard skin, floral, tartan prints and the odd stripe of sequinned silver playfully livens up the strong colours of the range which dutifully includes puffball sleeves and patent leather pixie boots.
