Winchester College
This was an impressive showing by the students of Winchester College of Art which featured great examples of technical ability as well as creative expression. Maria Pons' sunset shades of knitwear are vibrant and beautifully constructed. Paivi Haaksil's collection fuses Eastern influences and a sharp architectural eye to create modern shapes. Cara Jordon's take on power dressing was inspired: simple, slinky pants with sexy slash tops, gold chains and blouson boob tubes. Louise White also took inspiration from the 80s with clutch bags, hankerchief skirts and glittery tops. Charlotte Keating's white organza ruffled dress contrasted with a well cut white jacket slashed at the sleeves. Lisa Garrett crafted pieces in leather to stunning effect. Hotpants, stilettos, gloves and skinny leather belts worked to create a stonking superbitch look. Henna Koskinen's streetwear collection offered distressed denim for men and women with a scary sun visor and simple cotton tops.
