The Manchester graduate show had fun, colour, sex and art spinkled with goth spirit. Min Htoon's 'pure language' collection uses browns, beiges and purples and ice blues in billowing layered skirts, fluid dresses and long leather aprons over beige pencil skirts. Kate Whitworth explores fun with orange flowery dresses and yellow skirts with embroidered blouses whereas Andrea Burns showed a serious goth-style collection with hooded purple cloaks with 'marble' felted detailing over wide trousers. Lucy Griffiths painted fabrics to look like they were lace - yellow wrap skirts, sleeveless fit and flare dresses and denim jackets all looked like the real thing. Julian Smith's 'Break down the hierarchies' collection has one legged trousers, accordion frills circling the body, and a flower printed backless boiler suit! Daisy Dyer and Heidi Windsor pump up the sex - Daisy showed a very 70s mustard batwing sleeve dress and pink skirts while Heidi's eveningwear is a shiny 'n' sexy glam mix of brown loose fit evening coats, silver short sleeve shifts and pink minis with sky high heels. Samantha Jayne Anderson's menswear includes chest bearing shirts underneath razor lapel leather coats, slouchy trousers and tight crew neck sweaters. Lindsay Green presented walking art with her origami like 'forms' - intricately cut pointy shoulders and stiffened seams made dresses stand away from the body.
