The Tuesday Show

The Ab Fab 4 started Tuesday's show on a jazzy note, ensuring the growing audience could view the collections in a relaxed mental state. Martin McShane continued the subdued mood with a range of elegant evening dresses inspired by orchids which included soft green and brown patterned full-length skirts, chiffon skirts, delicate prints and corset tops. Alva Wilson took us to a surreal place with her astonishing range of hats. A dusky pink satin pill box hat mimicked the style of an art deco sofa and came complete with a teddy bear poised on top, while her red and blue silk sculptured pieces achieved architectural perfection. The ulitimate wedding hat featured a wide brim surrounded by flowers and a huge veil which belled into a dress.
Then it was the turn of the barmy army Prangsta girls to disturb the peace with a circus-like display of acrobatics and fashion. Introduced by a helmeted, boiler suit clad model with a megaphone, the collection included a red, white and blue bikini top with matching trousers, nylon padded skirts, customised London Underground leg-warmers, leopard skin knickers, a floor-length fake fur coat with teddy bears attached at the hem and hole infested combat trousers. The picture was completed by a barking dog and a trannie in a top hat.
Rachael Matthews' unique menswear collection followed. Exclusively made up of soft shaded long column frocks with dog-collars and button down backs, it took the audience a few moments to adjust their eyes - this was a great spring look for monks!
Peggii presented an electic collection of womenswear in earthy shades which includes long sand tunics, crocheted 3/4 length dreses, exaggerated stitching on jackets and gold ski pants.
