Create the base
If you wear foundation then go easy on the amount.
This may contradict the pile-it-on rule but it stops
the 'cake effect' from ruining your new look. Too much
face powder, cream, foundation, concealer or whatever
you use to even the tones of your skin and hide away
blemishes can create the illusion of wearing a mask.
Try to apply just a little if any and go for a very
natural-looking finish. If you can't follow this first
step then just think about Joan Collins until you come
to your senses.
