minute miracles
Wide eyed...
If you've got 'pee hole in the snow' eyes, then fear not - there are tons of ways to perfect your peepers. First of all, if they're looking a little redder than they should, sort them out with a gentle dusting of pale blue or light green powder. The colour should balance out the shade around your eyes and make them look slightly more presentable.

The Big Thing in beauty at the moment is to use lip gloss on your lids to make them look shiny and bright. This is a great little trick - however, if you overdo it, you may end up looking like you have some sort of sticky eye infection so always go easy on the gloop. The main benefit of gloss is that it disguises fine lines and creases on your lids which are much more noticeable if you use powder on them.

Another gem loved by stylists this season, is little white dots. Use a soft pencil or some liquid eye shadow to add a spot next on the corners of your eyes, and one in the bottom centre of your lid to make your eyes appear larger.

Cheeky...
Unless you're going for the ironic trailer trash look, be careful with the blusher. A little dab smoothed over the apples of your cheeks is usually enough. If you suffer from barely there cheek bones, but wanna make them stand out a little more, smear on a very, very thin application of Vaseline or use a highlighter stick lightly across the upper part of your cheek.

An old trick to make your whole face look a little thinner, is to use a little blusher across your temples. Although this technique can work, it isn't recommended unless you know what you're doing, otherwise you'll look like you're auditioning for the local panto.
