Wipe hype
Mistresses of make-up Ruby and Millie have come up with a great way to help us have brilliant nails on the go. Nail Wipes come in a box of 18, cost £2.75 and save you the hassle of faffing about with bottles of nail varnish remover and strips of cotton wool, especially while travelling. Just pop a couple of R&M nail wipes in your bag and you can remove your polish and repaint your nails wherever you are. Available from branches of Boots nationwide. |

Old skool colours
Fancy new hair colour products are being launched at such a rate that it's hard to keep up with all their hi-tech claims. If you want to keep life simple, reach for a Hint Of A Tint. These temporary hair colourings have been around since the 70s and this autumn sees the launch of a new range of eight shades which last up to three washes. Best of all they come in cute sachets with the sort of cheesy packaging that will make you smile and only cost 99p each. |

New York faces
Dolce and Gabbana aren't the only ones who are rallying support for the terrorist struck New York. The UK's Superdrug has just launched a new line of fun and frolicksome make-up from the Big Apple, NYC 212. Four cartoon gals named after New York districts - Chelsea, Hudson, Tribecca and Nolita are fronting the brand which offers glitzy eye shadows, shimmering body powders and lip glosses. The packaging is Manga-esque riot and so it looks like NYC 212 could become an instant hit with British tweenagers. Prices range from £3.99 to £9.99 and if you want to know more check out the website. |

Water works
We all know that water is essential to life and beauty but did you know that it is also the best way to keep your make-up fresh? Carry a small spitzer of water in your bag and spray a light mist on your face when you want to feel revived. If you really want to treat yourself, use mineral or filtered water instead of tap. |
