Aromatherapy is an ancient healing art which has been used for centuries. It's also a rewarding and simple therapy which you can experiment with yourself. It uses natural essences extracted from plants, trees, fruits and herbs to treat a wide range of conditions, from stress to sexual appetite. If you've never tried aromatherapy before just start with a few oils and a carrier oil (almond or olive is fine) for mixing. As you discover more oils, some will probably become firm favourites. One of the easiest ways to experiment is to use oils that help you relax. Among the most effective are lavender, geranium and rose. |
