No one wants to have excess lumps and bumps, or to resemble a wrinkled prune but 'Outrageous Agers' uses humour and irony to analyse why we find aging so scary. Rosy Martin believes any notions of what is beautiful and what is ugly can change. In their work Martin and Goodridge aim to represent regular areas of anxiety (bulging bellies, saggy breasts and chins) as beautiful. It's up to all of us to change our perceptions.
